day 08 - a picture that makes you laugh

this picture was taken when husband and i were snowed in at the parents house after Christmas.  mailey looks so shame faced that her mother would dare take a picture of her pooping in the snow.  HA!

i shared a similar picture on mothers day last year.  its from our wedding were mom was pooped on by a "pelican."  and like the humorous, graceful woman she is, she just laughed it off.

day 07 - a picture of your most treasured item

this necklace was my grandmothers.  im not a big butterfly fan but i have always loved it and feel very blessed to have it now that she has passed away.  there is nothing super fancy about it ... the chain is a bit outdated but i find myself wearing it at least 3 times a week.  

this necklace reminds me of my grandma smiling and for that, i will always cherish it!

5) beach bunny

 day 05 - a picture of your favorite memory

one of my favorite recent memories was a beach trip last summer with mom, brother, sister and vincent.  it was my first beach trip with vincent and mom and sister's first trip driving out onto carolina beach.  vincent was on the move and the only way to keep him in one spot was to dig a hole in the sand and set him inside.  he had sand EVERYWHERE!  we laughed a lot that day and i always enjoy making new memories with my v and the fam.

4) tonight

day 04 - a picture of your night

first, i drove home ... 

... with all the windows down 
because it was a beautiful evening.  

next, i had a super yummy dinner and 

then husband and i headed to small group.

 


after playing "kick the pine cone," he wanted to see if he could jump really far. 

 

i heart small group!!!!

after small group, husband and i drove downtown to follow up on a treasure hunt clue.  for now, i am not able to tell you a lot about the treasure hunt because we have not finished.  but believe me, i am really excited to share with you all how crazy this thing is!

i finished the night off with a coat of
"hard as nails" for my growing nubs.

3) automated day-dreaming

day 03 - a picture of the cast from your favorite show 

about three years ago, husband and i decided to try life without cable.  because our tv was old and the connector was broken it meant that we couldnt even get the basic 5 channels.  it went really well for a while ... we sat outside and read a lot, played cards and even had lots of conversations.  we still opt out of cable, however, we now rely on netflix and hulu for out "cable kicks."
